EDI stands for Electronic Data Interchange, and describes the process of sending documents, such as invoices, directly from one
computer to another. It is used instead of printing out invoices,
only for them to be typed back up again into another computer system.
It saves retailers sorting through volumes of paper and results in fewer
errors and greater success of invoices being paid on time.
